Jailbroken iPhone owners could be at risk from a new hacker tool that can work its way in to your phone and nick all your personal data.
We heard earlier in the week that a worm was on the loose changing wallpapers to a picture of the 80s pop legend Rick Astley, but it appears the new hack on the block is much more malicious.
Using the same glitch in the iPhone’s defence as the Astley worm, the hacker tool can start roaming around your jailbroken iPhone using a computer, a Wifi connection and the common jailbreaking root password that many owners don’t think to change.
This means you’re leaving any info on your iPhone such as emails, texts, memos, photos, contact and music up for grabs, as well as any deets collected by your apps.
To protect yourself against the little beggars after your stuff, get to changing that root password sharpish.
