Mac games added to GOG download store
Apple users can now access 50 retro and not-so-retro titles from the service, including eight absolutely free
DRM-free games download service GOG has begun offering titles for Mac OS X as well as Windows.
The service deals almost exclusively in retro titles (its name stands for Good Old Games, you see), but until now has been Windows only. From today that changes, with 50 Mac titles available right now. Eight of these (including the wonderful Beneath A Steel Sky) are totally free, and many are reduced in price for a limited period. The Witcher: Enhanced Edition is a mere US$4.99, for instance, while Simcity 2000 Special Edition will set you back just US$2.99.
Other titles available include The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings, Syndicate, Dungeon Keeper, Theme Hospital and Wing Commander. You can browse the full line-up here.
Buy a game available for both Windows and Mac and you’ll be able to play it on all your computers – GOG’s titles are DRM-free.
