Nintendo’s made it a double date on 8th December. Not only will its long awaited next-gen console go on sale across the UK but its MP3 add-on for the DS will also be winging its way into stores. And the good news is that not only will it work with the dual-screened handheld, but also the Game Boy Advance SP and tiny Game Boy Micro. The cartridge based player slots in just like a game and provides an SD card slot for MP3 storage. The screen acts as the player menu with full track titles. No news on any playlist functionality or any other extra features, other than we’re promised it’ll be ‘fully fledged’. Screenshots reveal various available skins, including the classic Super Mario Bros menu (pictured above). You’ll also have to buy your own memory card and card reader to transfer files across. Sounds a little more cheap than cheerful to us.
