Prototype of Commodore 64 remake revealed

Commodore USA unveils prototype shots of the iconic C64's PC makeover

The Commodore 64 is one of the most iconic computers ever built and the C64’s 21st-century rebirth is showing encouraging progress.

The prototype casing is created by a 3D plastic printer and the spec sheet obviously trumps those of the classic 64, with up to 4GB RAM, 1080p video output, Blu-ray, USB and Wi-Fi.

The best part? It will come preloaded with a heap of 8-bit gaming classics to indulge the nostalgia fanatics amongst us.

Check out the pics on Commodore USA’s site to fulfil your inner nerd.
