Sony Alpha a450 takes on entry level DSLR market
The early CES announcements continue, and Sony has outed its new entry level DSLR camera, the α450, aimed at "step-up" photographers m
The 14.2 megapixel snapper combines an Exmor SMOS sensor with a Bionz processor for minimal noise. You’ll be able to whack your sensitivity up to ISO 12800 too, so it’s good for capturing shots in low light.
There’s also a 2.7-inch LCD screen, continuous shooting of up to 7fps, up to 1,050 shots on a single charge, and plenty of anti-shake correction to ensure even the shakiest of hands get a steady snap.
You can choose between Sony’s proprietary Memory Stick Pro-HG duo or SD/SDHC memory cards, and have the pick of the 30 different α lenses as well.
The α450 is expected on the shelves at the beginning of February, prices are to be confirmed. Check out our top 10 DSLR cameras to see what it’s up against and follow us on Twitter for all the latest from CES.
