Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V arrives
If you're thinking the Xperia neo V is identical to the Neo, you'd be right... kind of
If you’re getting a sense of deja vu, you’re not alone. The newly announced Xperia neo V looks like an exact carbon copy of its older sibling, the Xperia Neo. You can even try squinting at it, but you’ll be hard pushed to find to find any real differences. That’s because its minor changes are under the surface. Firstly, it’s packing Gingerbread 2.3.4, signalling the upgrade onslaught across the entire Xperia range. Secondly, it’s been downgraded in the camera department from an 8MP snapper to 5MP. Other than that, its form factor and spec sheet are identical.
That means inside you can expect to find a 1GHz processor, 720P HD video recording, a front-facing camera for video calls, HDMI and a 3.7in 480 x 854 pixel display. This display uses Mobile Bravia Engine – Sony’s TV tech designed to boost the screen performance by reducing noise, sharpening the detail and enhancing the contrast. Expect to see the neo V turn up in white, blue or silver hues some time towards the end of the year in Q4, with a slightly lower price tag than the original Neo.
