Sony has announced that its 13MP Xperia GX and the world’s lightest LTE smartphone, the Xperia SX, are launching in Japan this summer. According to Sony they’ll be the first LTE smartphones to be released in Japan. And they’re also Sony’s first 4G handsets.
The Sony Xperia GX crams in a whopping 13MP camera (that captures Sony 3D panoramics), 16GB memory, Sony’s beautiful 4.6in Reality Display powered by a Bravia Engine, a 1.5GHz dual core processor, and of course ICS to keep it all ticking over nicely.
Sony will also be releasing the Xperia SX, the world’s lightest LTE smartphone at 95g. It too has a Reality Display but at a more compact 3.7in, along with a smaller 8MP camera (but with all the same Exmor R features), 8GB memory, and an equally powerful 1.5GHz dual-core.
Both smartphones will come with Sony’s Walkman app and Movies for streaming Sony’s own video catalogue. The Xperia SX and Xperia GX are coming in black or white and will be out in Japan this summer.
