Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 (Castor) specs leak ahead of MWC 2014
The Xperia Tablet Z2 could be unveiled alongside its smaller smartphone brother
We already know almost everything that’s worth knowing about the upcoming Sony Xperia Z2, and now, thanks to @evleaks, the same can be said for the Sony Xperia Tablet Z2.
Codenamed Castor, the leaked specs point to a 10.1in slate with a 1900×1200 resolution screen and an 8MP rear camera. While that might disappoint fans who are looking for QHD 2560×1440 screens like the ones found on the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX and Galaxy Note 10.1, there’ll certainly be no complaints in the power department.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 will apparently pack the mighty power of a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, along with 3GB of RAM – more than enough power to run Android 4.4 KitKat.
16GB of storage can be expanded via microSD, while a massive 6000mAh battery should ensure it lasts longer than you do.
In true Xperia Tablet style, the Z2 will laughing the face of water and dust too, while its insanely thin 6.4mm body should have design fans drooling.
We expect to see the Xperia Z2 Tablet revealed alongside the Xperia Z2 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, so stay tuned for more details.
