TomTom Go Live Top Gear edition puts Clarkson in your car

Go Live Top Gear Edition features voice of Jeremy Clarkson. Jeans and jacket not included

With petrolheads rejoicing at the news that the government’s planning to up the motorway speed limit to 80mph, TomTom has picked a good time to launch the Go Live Top Gear edition satnav.

The special edition TomTom barks out directions in the dulcet tones of Jeremy Clarkson – and when you get sick of him roaring “Power!” at you, you can switch it to a silent Stig mode.

The TomTom Go Live Top Gear edition also features Top Gear start-up and shut-down screens alongside car icons.

Tech-wise, the Go Live Top Gear edition is based on the TomTom Go Live 820 – so as well as the novelty features you get a 4.3in screen, a year’s subscription to the TomTom HD Traffic dynamic routing and traffic update service, speed camera alerts, QuickGPSfix and TomTom Weather.

The satnav also comes complete with Bluetooth hands-free calling and voice control features. The TomTom Go Live Top Gear edition is available from Halfords, priced £180.
