It was a promising start, if an ugly phone, but it turns out the Lobster 700TV (pictured) will be the first and last of Virgin’s TV-packing mobiles.Despite an ad campaign featuring Pamela ‘don’t call me babe’ Anderson, the limp Lobster sold a mere 10,000 handsets by the start of 2007 and now, ten months after it all began, BT Movio is pulling the plug on the DMB TV broadcasts it receives. So no more E4 on the bus or ITV1 on the loo. But there is some good news. Lobster will still be able to pick up DAB radio – just in time for the forthcoming launch of Channel 4 and Sky’s digital radio stations.
