You can buy Google Glass tomorrow… if you live in the US
Bypass the Google Explorer program selection process for a day
Have you been infuriated that Google has made Google Glass available to just a handpicked fraction of possible users? Well turn that frown upside down – we have good news for you.
For a limited time on April 15th at 9am EDT, the search giant will open its doors and allow anyone to join its Glass Explorer program and order a set of its trendy Explorer Edition Glass online.
It is unsure how many units exactly will be up for grabs, but the company claimed in its Google+ blog post that quantities will be limited.
The initiative is probably Google’s shot at gaining feedback from a wider audience before it pushes its Web-ready glasses out to the public.
“Every day we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too,” it said in its blog post.
Costing US$1500, the offer is valid to all adult US residents with a US shipping address.
For those in other parts of the world desperate to get them on your face, get your friends, relatives or contacts in the US to help score you a pair.
Google Glass can be booked here. And if you don’t fancy wearing a computer on your face, perhaps these readily available wearable devices will be more fitting for you.
