HTC 8X and 8S get priced up for the UK

The dust has barely settled on HTC's Windows Phone 8 launch – and now we know how much their new handsets will set you back

HTC lifted the lid on its Windows Phone 8 handsets, the 8X and 8S, yesterday – and now one retailer has spilled the beans on how much they’ll cost.

Unlocked Mobiles has listed the HTC 8X for pre-order at £400, with the HTC 8S coming in at £225.

The HTC 8X is the company’s flagship Windows Phone 8 handset, packing in a 1.5GHz dual-core processor along with 1GB of RAM and a 4.3in 720p Super LCD screen, along with the company’s standard Beats Audio hardware. An 8MP camera with F2.0 aperture and wide-angle lens, plus a 2.1MP front camera – both capable of 1080p video recording – round out the spec sheet.

The HTC 8S, meanwhile, comes with a 5MP rear camera (no front snapper here) and a 4in screen, along with a 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB of RAM.

Both phones are expected to drop in November – will you be joining the Windows Phone 8 family? Let us know on Twitter.
