The Skype for iPad app somehow ended up on App Stores around the world today but no sooner had the Apple police let the video calling app loose, Skype pulled it back, wanting to ensure our “best Skype experience.”

No surpises as to what the Skype for iPad app will do when it makes a proper debut: video chat, phone calls and instant messaging (during video calling, unlike the Skype for iPhone app). And expect it to work on both the iPad and iPad 2 if you’re running iOS 4.0 or above – two way chat on the latest iPad 2 and receiving video only on the front-camera-less original iPad.
