Bad news for gaming laptop fans. Hardcore maker Rock has entered into administration, citing “cash flow difficulties faced as a result of stock misappropriation by a former employee”.

It means that no new orders are being taken for its range of gaming behemoths, media PCs and high-spec portables, such as the Pegasus 210 we reviewed just last month (pictured).

Worse still, people who are are awaiting delivery of orders or who have sent their laptop in for repair or service may be left suddenly out of pocket.

Customers are being advised to contact their credit card company to secure a refund if they’ve still not received an order or have a warranty issue. Those who’ve paid by other means will have to cross their fingers and hope a new buyer can fulfil Rock’s obligations.
