Nokia has come over all Kimi Raikkonen on us and announced its first dedicated GPS device, the 330, expected to motor onto European shores before the end of the year.We’d assumed that the 330 would be the successor to the 770 internet tablet, but rumours and leaked pictures now suggest that the 770 will get its own replacement, with the 330 keeping its eyes firmly on sat-nav. Less naggingWith a 3.5in colour touch screen, Route 66 navigation software and spoken instructions, the 330 is a potential TomTom botherer. It’ll come complete with European maps and also a 2GB SD card for music and video, so it won’t all be boring directions and stern-voiced instructions.Whether it can keep up with the sat-nav big boys or not is yet to be seen, but the device certainly marks an interesting new direction for Nokia and we’ll keep you up to speed on that 770 replacement. What next? A Navman 3.2MP camphone?
