Motorola has continued its savage assault on the letter ‘e’ by announcing three new RAZR inspired handsets and saddling them all with similarly shouty monikers.
The KRZR (cra-zer, above) is unfortunately the only handset that will definitely be coming to the UK. It updates the tired old RAZR by shaving 1cm off its width (not that it had any weight problems), boosting the camera to 2MP and adding A2DP Bluetooth support for stereo cans such as Moto’s own HT820s.
It also promises a bizarre but potentially attractive new feature – it’s the first phone to be fronted by a solid piece of glass. This might make its shiny face susceptible to fingerprints, but we’ll reserve judgement till we see it in the flesh.
The RIZR (ris-er, middle) has an almost identical features list to the KRZR, but sports a new slider design which sees its waist balloon to slightly larger than the original V3. Aside from the stereo Bluetooth, you also get 20MB of internal memory and a 176×220 pixel screen.
As if those two hadn’t abused the end of the alphabet enough, along comes the clamshell RAZR MAXX (bottom). This guy is probably the most interesting of the bunch, supporting the new ultra 3G web surfing standard called HSPDA, which should allow broadband-esque download speeds.
It wears dedicated music buttons with pride, has a 2MP camera and a generous 50MB of internal memory. More news when we get it.
