Alienware laptops get Intel Ivy Bridge upgrades

Alienware's M14x, M17x, and M18x gaming laptops have all been blessed with Intel’s third generation processors

We recently announced a new range of Alienware laptops, but it was before Intel unveiled its third generation Ivy Bridge processors. Now that the cat’s out of the bag, we can announce that those laptops will be coming with Ivy Bridge options.

Alienware’s M14x, M17x and M18x laptops are available now with Ivy Bridge Intel processors. Check our earlier story for full specs – but if you’re looking for power you should know the M14x and M18x are pretty much the most powerful gaming laptops in the universe. With the M18x packing an i7 Extreme CPU overclocked to 4GHz, up to 32GB RAM, and a 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GT 660Mii as standard, it’s easy to see why.

The M14x is available now at Dell from £1000, the M17x from £1300, and the M18x from £1700.
