Archos has its Wi-Fi way with Stuff

Tired of playing the PS3 – or at least watching everyone beating our times on Motorstorm – we set sail for something inspiring on the Best

Tired of playing the PS3 – or at least watching everyone beating our times on Motorstorm – we set sail for something inspiring on the Best of Stuff show floor. We found it at the Archos stand in the form of a little wireless PMP called the 604 Wi-Fi.  Recent issues of Stuff have contained enthusiastic remarks about the 504’s monstrous 160GB hard drive and the 404’s pocketable form, but this model’s web-browsing functionality and touch screen mark it out as a unique species in the French company’s stable.  Watching me, watching you After a little searching for an available network, we jumped online and had the strange experience of watching Stuff’s live news feed while writing for Stuff‘s live news feed. Surfing was straightforward with Archos’ new redesigned menu system, and we were assured that the battery would hold out for around four and a half hours – even using the Wi-Fi.   The 4.3in, 16-million colour screen is excellent for both web browsing and video, and the hard drive will store your top 85 movies. Interested? Of course you are. The 604 Wi-Fi costs £320, with the DVR station going for an extra £55.  Essentials
