BBC iPlayer set to hit Windows Phone soon

The Beeb's streaming service will be hitting your trusty Windows Phone within the next few weeks

A Nokia spokesperson has revealed to The Inquirer that a BBC iPlayer app will be landing on Windows Phone devices “within the next few weeks”.

Good news then for Windows Phone owners, who have had to contend with playing catch up in the app store arena against Mango’s iOS and Android-toting brethren.

If you’re holding out for Sky Go on Windows Phone devices then you’ll have a longer wait, though – Nokia doesn’t expect a Windows Phone app to be released for “a good few months”. As always, stay tuned for more info, as and when we get it.
