BenQ has launched a simple all-in-one phone kit to give mobile-loving drivers an easy alternative to racking up huge fines.
Penalties for handheld mobile use on the roads will rise again this autumn. If caught, you’ll get three points on your licence and up to a £1000 fine.
Buying the GO Phone is a slightly less expensive experience. The kit consists of the 13mm thick BenQ Siemens S68, the rather attractive HHB-710 Bluetooth headset and a car cradle.
The mobile itself is a more than decent standalone model with a 1.8in screen, Outlook syncing, and voice recording that lets you dictate a text message
At 15g, the headset will be barely noticeable, while the car cradle can either clip onto air vents or attach to the dash via an adhesive pad.
The whole kit is available now from T-Mobile for free on contract or £100 on PAYG. It’s not on their site yet, but Phones 4 U should be stocking them soon.
