Following Blaupunkt’s first colour-GPS-head-unit-cum-car stereo, the TravelPilot Rome, Germany’s in-car maestro has launched its latest version with a distinctly European twist.
The TravelPilot Rome NAV56E comes with a bundle of CDs that host maps for not one, not two, but ten European countries. The head unit also features a couple of tweaks. For example, on the original, the map would disappear when you reached a junction, but now the map is a permanent fixture.
Of course, it still boasts all the goodies of the original, including a hi-res TFT screen, FM/MW/LW tuner, zoom functionality and the ability to calculate the fastest and shortest routes.
The NAV56E costs £550, which means that the original TravelPilot Rome has now been reduced to £480. Happy days.
