Dell XPS 14z unveiled
The new laptop brings Dell's XPS-game to the MacBook Pro
Just today we were making out that Dell doesn’t know how to leave the office behind – with its new business-focused Latitude ST tablet – and now we’re eating our words. Dell looks like it’s discovered a sense of fun with its sleek new 14in XPS 14z laptop, running Windows 7 Home Premium.
The XPS 14z is rocking 2nd-gen Intel Core i5 and i7 dual-core processors, and the 1366×768 WLED display means the Dell’s sorted for HD movies. For gamers, there’s a NVIDIA GeForce 520M and 1GB graphics memory.
The XPS 14z has almost seven hours of battery life and you can choose between either 500GB or 750GB of storage. All this spec is somehow crammed into a gorgeous 0.9mm thick anodised aluminium shell, weighing in at 1.98kg. You can buy the XPS 14z from November 15 for a not-too-painful £800 but we’re getting hands-on with it today – so watch out for our first impressions.
