Thanks to the Stuff.tv festival fairy (who is that guy? He’s devilishly handsome) I’m fully equipped with gadgetry for the long slog of the British festival season. But with hundreds of bands playing at every festival, I struggle to pick out which acts to catch and which ones to leave behind like last year’s tent. This year, indie download site eMusic is on hand with a 14-song selection of tracks from some of the best bands playing at this year’s British festivals – and it’s refreshingly eclectic, all things considered.Rather than the usual selection of headliners, one hit wonder indie bands and weathered old dad rock ‘heroes’, the chaps at eMusic have picked out a decent range of artists including Sebastien Tellier with the fantastically titled Sexual Sportswear, Let’s Get Out of This Country by Camera Obscura, and The Breeders’ Overglazed.Of course the bigger names are here too, with hits from The Raconteurs, British Sea Power (pictured) and Underworld making the cut. Head over to eMusic.com/festivals to check it out for yourself.
