Humax has spilled the beans on the world’s first Freeview HD+ recorder, the HDR-FOX T2, due to hit the high street in a few short weeks.

The set-top box will feature a capacious 500GB hard drive – enough for 125 hours of HD content, and a heck of a lot more standard def programming. There’ll of course be the ability to pause and rewind live TV, and to set recordings using the eight-day HD electronic programme guide.

The HDR-FOX T2 delivers access to BBC HD, ITV1 HD, 4HD and (in Wales) S4C Clirlun, plus around 50 standard definition digital channels.

In addition to that little lot, the box comes with USB and Ethernet for media playback. The latter allows you to stream video, music and photo over your home network.

The Humax HDR-FOX T2 is the successor to Humax’s HD-FOX T2 and will be available in July 2010, priced at around £350.
