HTC Desire to get Android Gingerbread at last

The wait is almost over – HTC Desire all set for Android update by the end of July

If you’ve been hanging in there for HTC to make its mind up about the memory space on the Desire, there’s some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that you might have to wait until the end of the month. And the good news? HTC will be rewarding your patience with an update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. That’s right, it’s figured out a way to cram HTC Sense and the latest version of the Android OS into the Desire – we hear it’s culling some apps. So you can have your Gingerbread and eat it too.
