Still fresh from taking top spot in our Hi-Fi Top Ten with the M-CR502, Marantz has crafted a beautiful Blu-ray version.

The Marantz M-ER803 was first spotted at the High End Show in May, but pricing and specs have now been confirmed.

Aside from playing Blu-ray in proper 1080p hi-def via HDMI, it’ll also pump out 70W per stereo channel to the suitably slick-looking speaker pair of your choice.

A USB input on the front allows connection to your iPod or iPhone, with your music navigated through a graphical user interface appearing on your TV.

There’s also the clever M-XPort socket so you can hook up the optional RX101 Bluetooth receiver for streaming wirelessly from your phone or laptop.

The Marantz M-ER803 will cost £900 when it arrives in August.
