The new Apple TV goes on sale next Monday, 26 October
And it'll ship out by the end of next week, as well
UPDATE: It seems Apple will stick to its word on this one: despite a recent report claiming that the new Apple TV won’t actually release until November (see below), Tim Cook just revealed that it will start shipping next week.
That news just came during an on-stage interview at the Wall Street Journal’s WSJDLive event, with Cook saying that the set-top box will go on sale online on Monday, 26 October and begin shipping out by the end of the week. It may not actually reach buyers until November, and it’s not clear whether the box will be sold in Apple Stores next week – but it’s nice to have a date to look forward to now.

ORIGINAL STORY (8/10/15): When Apple announced its brand new Apple TV set-top box last month, the company pegged late October for the release. Unfortunately, a new report claims it’ll arrive a little later than expected.
