News Nugget – Samsung SH100 in bed with Android

Latest Samsung camera uses Android phone as a remote viewfinder

Samsung’s latest compact camera, the SH100, is having an affair with Android.

Thanks to its built-in Wi-Fi, you can hook it up to an Android phone – such as your Samsung Galaxy S – and use your handset as a remote viewfinder.

We’re thinking maybe you set the SH100 on self-timer, stand in frame and make sure you’re looking good on the Galaxy S screen before hitting the shutter release. We don’t condone upskirts.

Specs? Oh, right. The SH100 has a 14.2-megapixel sensor, can shoot 720p hi-def video, has a 3-inch LCD and 5x zoom.

Price will be £200 when it goes on sale in March.
