Nokia unveils 4G Lumia 625 – at 4.7in it’s the largest Lumia yet, not bad for £200

The 4G toting smartphone will give you a cheap way to run a fast, big-screen Windows Phone

Nokia has just unveiled its Lumia 625, a 4G big-screen smartphone for a budget price.

For your buck you’ll get a 4.7in IPS (800×480) screen, 1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB storage with microSD expansion for 64GB more, and a 5MP snapper. Not quite as special as the Lumia 1020 – but a comprable mid-range smartphone.

But it will come packing 4G LTE and the new Bluetooth 4.0 LE – the kind that works well with smartwatches and other low-power kit. And the 2000mAh battery shouldn’t have much trouble keeping the phone itself going for ages.

On the software side of things it’s Nokia’s business as usual meaning HERE offline maps, Nokia Music streaming and the Cinemagraph photography app all as standard. And the outer shells are changeable with five other options for the fashion conscious out there.

The Nokia Lumia 625 will be out in September around the very affordable price mark of £200.
