Orange customers treated to free movies

The future's free iTunes film downloads, apparently

Orange Wednesdays come around and you cannot be bothered to climb out of the dent you’ve made in your “gaming sofa” to get 2-for-1 at the cinema, let alone trek to Pizza Express. Orange knows you exist, our lazy friend, and on August 11th is launching Orange Film To Go so that you can enjoy weekly film freebies without having to hunt for clean clothes.

Assuming you’re an Orange customer, your new film night is Thursday. Request (via SMS) and redeem a code from Orange at the iTunes store and then, as with iTunes rentals, it will be available for 30 days (also like iTunes, once you hit play you’ve got 48 hours to finsh it). If downloaded to PC or Mac, you can even sync the film to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

Annoyingly, there’s a catch: Orange chooses the film. But don’t be put off by the Jude Law and Norah Jones film My Blueberry Nights in the above image here – in the next few weeks you’ll get to see Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler, Che: Part One and Polanski’s The Ghost Writer.
