Panasonic GM1 is a ridiculously small Micro Four Thirds camera

Panasonic has revealed a new Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera, and it’s the smallest one we’ve seen so far. Meet the GM1.

Measuring in at just 98.5mm x 54.9mm x 30.4mm, the GM1 will take up even less space than the Sony RX100.

Despite its small frame, the GM1 still manages to cram in a 16MP Live MOS Four Thirds sensor, a 3in touchscreen, Wi-Fi and pop-up flash, as well as a mode dial and function buttons.

Panasonic has also made a new 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens which is able to collapse into a more portable size when it’s not being used.

With its classy retro looks, improved imaging prowess and solid aluminium body – all wrapped up in a portable package – the GM1 is certainly dressed to impress.

Sadly no release date or UK pricing information has been made available yet, but it’ll cost photographers across the pond US$750 (which includes the kit lens) when it’s eventually released.
