Panasonic TVs smarten up with Viera Connect

Panasonic, not content with bumping up the number of TVs on show, has also unveiled its new smart TV system – Viera Connect.

Announced earlier in the year, Connect means thousands of apps, including Skype and Twitter on your big screen via Viera Connect Market. The new service will also let you go shopping for apps and even physical products armed with your Viera remote. 

In terms of hardware, we were treated to the latest models in its Viera 3D LED LCD TV range and four new models – the VT30, GT30, ST30 and G30 – were added to its series of Plasmas.

Highlights from the new TVs making their debut at IFA this year include the 32in HD X3 LCD TV and the THX certified VT30 series of plasma screens. We also got details of its third-gen active shutter 3D glasses, the TY-EW3D3s weighing in at just 26g. Stay tuned for candid photos of the newbies.
