PS3 gears up for the Vita with 4.00 software update
Sony is laying down the foundations for the release of its forthcoming pocket gaming powerhouse
Sony is planning to push a new 4.00 system software update to PlayStation 3 consoles this week in a bid to prepare them for the release of the upcoming PlayStation Vita.
The new update will allow you to transfer games, media and save files between your Vita and PS3, although the game streaming feature that was recently demonstrated by Sony sadly seems to be absent from the list.
The Playstation Vita hits Japanese shelves on December 17th while the rest of us have to patiently wait until February 22nd, but we’re working on a hands on review to whet your appetites, so stay tuned.
