Rumour: Microsoft has two flagship Lumia phones in the works, including phablet
Nope, we don't get the names either
Rumour has it there are two Microsoft Lumia flagships being prepped for the Windows 10 launch, internally named the Lumia Cityman and the Lumia Talkman. Dear Microsoft: Sony and the Walkman would like a few words.
The Cityman is the phablet of the duo, with a 5.7in 1440 x 2560 resolution screen. It seems octa-core is the new black, as there’ll apparently be a eight-cored Qualcomm processor paired with 3GB of RAM. There’ll also be a microSD slot, 32GB internal storage, a 20MP rear camera, a 5MP front shooter and – the best part – a 3300mAh battery.
Sweet specs, but are they enough?
As for the Talkman, it’ll have similar specs but with a smaller build, only 5.2in to the Citman’s 5.7in. Apparently it will have a hexa-core instead of an octa-core and the battery will be a slightly smaller 3000mAh.
Pretty solid specs for flagship phones, though the question is whether Windows Phone 10 will finally get people to put down their Android phones and iPhones in favour of a Microsoft device.
At this stage, the phones are more rumour than fact but whatever the case, we’re betting Microsoft is prepping solid flagship phones to help Windows 10 succeed.
