A colour tablet and an Amazon streaming movie service ready for Christmas should have Google and Apple worrying

Yes we told you about an Amazon colour tablet already. But since then, Amazon’s head honcho Jeff Beazley has confirmed it’s in the making. Now Taiwan component makers are leaking all sorts of tasty titbits, including an August to September release date. They expect a Texas Instruments processor, Wintek touchscreen, ILI Tech LCD, and Quanta Computer will assemble it all with monthly shipments of around 750,000 of the, hopefully as-affordable-as-Kindle devices. Now, what to do with all those leftover Kindles?
