Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini specs and photo reveal it may be like the S3 in shape only

It looks like the smaller Galaxy S3 sibling will be unveiled on October 11th

As the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini reaches its rumoured release date of October 11th, specification speculation is running rampant on the internet.

Tommorow’s release date comes thanks to a Samsung UK spokesperson talking to Pocket-Lint. But what’s less officially certain is whether the S3 Mini will be a 4in version of Samsung’s powerhouse Galaxy S3, or a watered down version similar to the Galaxy S Advance

According to Mobile Geeks it’s going to be a rather mid-level affair – which tallies with a lack of pre-launch pizzazz. Expect a dual-core 1GHz processor at the heart of this 4in Super AMOLED device that’ll feed an 800×480 (233ppi) resolution display. The site’s also plumping for Android Jelly Bean, a 5MP snapper and 16GB onboard memory with microSD expansion – but there’s no word on 4G. Check back tomorrow to see what we make of the S3’s smaller sibling.
