While most have been dazzled by Nokia’s Luna eclipse, we’ve also clapped eyes on this new double act of mobile mid-rangers from the Finns – the 6500 Slide and Classic. At just 9.5mm thin the aluminium clad 3G Classic (pictured) hopes to live up to its name thanks to individual polishing, meaning that no two are the same. With 1GB of on-board storage, there’s plenty of space for tunes and pics from the 2MP camera, and a mini-USB port lets you juice up from any spare slot, no special charger needed.Looking a little like the lovechild of Nokia’s N70 and N80, the Slide also boasts a brushed metal finish with a rock hard coating for resisting scratches, bumps and scrapes. Underneath the bonnet of the cleverly named slider is a 3.2MP camera (with lens courtesy of Nokia’s mate Carl Zeiss), 3G and a nifty TV-out for video calling on a big screen or eyeballing your movies and snaps. Both pocketable little fellas are due in the autumn.
