Sony stereo PC speakers are raining down from on high, all promising magnetically shielded cases and built-in volume controls.Crashing through the glass desk in front of us is the portable SRS-M30 two-piece set, stuffed with quality 39mm Neodymium drivers. The two cones can also be cunningly tethered together for extra portability. Dive-bombing into the fish tank are the entry-level SRS-A201 with their 57mm cones and the bizarre looking SRS-AX10 (pictured), which resemble a pair of desk lamps with their bendable stems.Meanwhile, landing neatly in the bows of a potted palm in the corner are the active SRS-A212 with built-in digital amplifier and 66mm cones. And finally, deftly caught in the arms of our workie, are the more powerful, silver SRS-Z510 with built-in Mega Bass and quality 55mm Sigma drivers. Guess we’ll let him keep them – once he’s cleared up all these other sets.EssentialsSony SRS-M30, SRS-A201, SRS-AX10, SRS-A212, SRS-Z510Price: £20, £25, £55, £20, £50On sale: Now Contact: SonyRelated stories:Bose SoundDock and PC speakers returnGadget of the Day: M-Audio Studiophile AV speakersAPC speakers to Eclipse all others
