World’s first human-powered car
Had enough of paying out for petrol? Get your mates to lend a hand in this man-powered motor

With petrol prices topping £1.30 a litre, human power is starting to look like a viable source of not-so-automotive drive.
Enter the human-powered car which lets up to four people use a rowing-esque motion to get the wheels rolling for their journey. There are also electric motors to help out, though the omission of a roof is also a potenital flaw if you’re planning to commute down a rain-drenched A40. There’s also the £9,000 price tag to consider – that’d get you 7,000 litres of petrol and much less arm pain. We’ll let you decide after you watch the video below.
