HTC EVO 3D gets price tag and launch date
LG's Optimus 3D has been ruling the roost for too long. HTC's EVO 3D is about to put an end to that
Until HTC announced the EVO 3D, the 3D smartphone market was dominated by the LG Optimus 3D and er, the LG Optimus 3D. That’s all about to change. Come September 5, LG’s 3D smartphone won’t be the only mobile on the block with 3D smarts and it’llll have to share some of the third-dimensional limelight with its HTC rival.
Like its 3D counterpart, the EVO 3D allows you to seamlessly switch between 3D and 2D modes and more importantly enjoy its 3D wares minus the face furniture. Additional bonuses include Sense, HTC’s renowned user interface, a 4.3-inch qHD display, Android Gingerbread 2.3 and a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, which should keep everything chugging along nicely.
It’s available for pre-order now for £500 SIM-free from the likes of Play and Amazon, so eager beavers can be among the first in line to get their hands on HTC’s 3D-capable smartie.
