Gadget of the Day – Kymera Magic Wand Remote
It's been a few years now since Harry Potter and his gang of budding wizards hit our bookshelves and our screens, and now you can play wannabe wizard
The wand-shaped, buttonless universal remote control can be used with any infra-red device, and has 13 different programmable gestures to play with.
With the flick of a wrist you could change channel, pause a DVD or alter the volume of your TV, and it’ll save on battery life by going to sleep after 60 seconds until you pick it up again.
The wizard-tastic gadget was designed by two guys from the UK and has already shipped to 41 countries in a Christmas rush for kids and big kids alike.
Firebox is selling the wand for £49.99, but after a spell in today’s Metro don’t expect them to hang around for long.
We’ve just got one in at Stuff Towers and are planning to put it through its paces – we’ll let you know if it’s as magic as it sounds in a hands on video soon.
