The long-awaited BlackBerry Bold 9900 is probably the most exciting smartphone announcement we’ve had from RIM for quite a some time. Not only because it sports the new BlackBerry OS 7, but mainly because of its slim premium aesthetics, touchscreen/QWERTY combo, HD video recording and NFC capabilities.

If its initial announcement had you hot under the thumbable keyboard, you may need to sit down for this – it’s available for pre-order starting from £36 a month. So while you impatiently wait for its arrival, you can be safe in the knowledge you’ll be among the first to show off its touchscreen prowess when it puts in its official appearance next month.
