The Galaxy S5 could be Samsung’s cheapest flagship yet
Paying less for more? Sounds good to us
The Samsung Galaxy S5 rumour mill refuses to die, and the latest whispers suggest that the Galaxy S5 could be Samsung’s cheapest flagship device yet.
According to Bloomberg’s sources, US carriers have put pressure on Samsung to lower its pricing, which we’re hoping will have a knock-on effect for the rest of the world too. But there is a little catch.
Gadgeteers waiting for the pixel-packed 5.1in 2560×1440 QHD screen-toting S5 variant might have to wait a few more months while Samsung works on optimising the picture quality.
The 5.2in 1080p model (which is also expected to be waterproof and dustproof) will, according to Korean site ET News, be launched first, with its QHD sibling hitting shelves a few months later.
Thankfully we haven’t got too long to wait before all will be revealed, as Samsung will unveil all at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week. We can’t wait.
