SIM-free

You can buy the Galaxy S5 direct from Samsung UK, where it’s priced at £580, while The Carphone Warehouse is offering it for a tenner less at £570.

The cheapest SIM-free price we’ve seen is over at Clove, where it’s available for £522, and stock is expected to land from 14 April.

EE

EE is offering 5GB of 4G data (along with unlimited calls and texts) on a £40 per month, two year contract. The S5 will set you back £90 too.

If you don’t want to fork out that much a month then you can pony up a hefty £260 for the handset itself, which gives you a monthly fee of £33, but that’ll only get you 4GB of data.

Oh, and here’s a nice bonus: if you already pre-ordered an S5 before 10 April, EE will give you a return flight to selected European destinations.

O2

O2 has the S5 for £43 per month with no upfront payment and 5GB of data, which we think is the best deal out of all the tariffs it offers.

Three

Three stands out from the crowd by offering 4G to all its customers at no extra charge, and the network’s offering a pretty sweet deal on the S5: £30 upfront, £41 a month and unlimited data. Should you want to pay less per month, there’s a £38 per month deal (same £30 upfront fee) that comes with either unlimited data and 600 minutes, or vice versa.

Virgin Media

Virgin is offering its customers the Galaxy S5 for £100 on a two year £37 per month contract, which includes 2GB of data. If you want unlimited data then the monthly cost rises to £41. If you’re not a virgin customer then the prices shoot up to £47 a month for 2GB of data and £51 a month for unlimited data, so you’d probably be better off looking elsewhere.

Vodafone

If you like the gold then Vodafone‘s the way to go, as it’s the only network currently offering the S5 in Au.

If you don’t want to pay a penny upfront, Vodafone could be your best bet. The network’s offering a £37 a month plan (with unlimited texts and calls and 2GB of data) with no upfront payment. If you want 4G access, however, you’ll have to pay a little more: a good deal is £42 per month with no upfront cost, which gets you 4G and 5GB of data.
