5.1 speaker set-ups are all well and good but when you’re living in a £500-a-month garret in Islington with a living room the size of a shower cubicle, it can be a tad overkill. So, for the gentleman or lady with the more bijou abode, may we suggest these fivetwo two-speaker set-ups from KEF? ‘Mere stereo?’ you cry. Well no, actually. Thanks to some rather ingenious audio trickery, these space-saving cones manage to pump out full cinematic surround. And unlike those tiny speakers you usually tuck round the back of the sofa, they look good enough to command a place beside your plasma pride and joy. The Model 7 pair (pictured) with seven drivers (geddit?) will attach to the wall. The floor standing Model 11 set adds an extra four drivers, for those who demand that little bit extra.
